Included in your stay is a tour to the world-renowned wine country, offering over 80 Cellar Doors showcasing its big bold red wines with intense flavors. The Barossa is home to the oldest Shiraz vineyards in the world dating back to 1842! From Boutique Stone Cottages to Majestic Chateau’s, the architecture and terroir of the regions wineries is sure to amaze. Enjoy award winning wines from up to four wineries and be guided through the wine tasting experience by passionate vignerons.
There is plenty of free time to explore the city and perhaps visit the famous Central Market. With over 70 traders under one roof, the Adelaide Central Market is one of the largest undercover fresh produce markets in the Southern Hemisphere, buzzing with life and color all year round. The market is open Tuesday-Saturday, except public holidays.
If markets are not your thing, then head out to Glenelg Beach, visit the National Wine Centre of Australia. For an insiders investigate Australia’s history, visit the Adelaide Gaol or the Migration Museum.
Your final stop on your Australian vacation is to Australia’s own Galapagos, Kangaroo Island. The Island is a natural habitat providing a rich haven for wildlife, some of which can’t be found anywhere else on the globe. Your two-day experience showcases not only the island’s incredible wildlife but also its dramatic coastline and marine inhabitants.
Expect to see koalas, wallabies, kangaroos, echidnas, and a diverse array of birdlife. Your first day focuses on the Flinders Chase National Park home to Remarkable Rocks, an extraordinary granite formation naturally sculpted by the wind over millennia. The following day visit the central Cygnet Valley and then south to Seal Bay where you’ll walk through the sand dunes amongst Australian sealions before returning to Adelaide for an overnight stay before your return flight to the US.
