On arrival at Ayers Rock, you will transfer to the Resort for a two-night stay. On your first afternoon, travel through the landscape to the entrance of Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. Journey through the desert landscape to the mighty rock formation, a place where unique flora and fauna thrive – Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). Your guide will reveal the many attributes of this diverse environment and describe the cultural significance of Kata Tjuta as a sacred Aboriginal men’s ceremonial site. Walk between the mighty conglomerate domes and hear how these 36 domes that make up Kata Tjuta have evolved over millions of years. Take time to listen to the wind (Walpa) far above and view the scale of the rock walls that surround before returning to the Resort.

An early morning start as you experience tranquility of the pre-dawn land under a canopy of stars. Watch the amazing transformation of colors and life as the desert awakens with Uluru and Kata Tjuta as your backdrop. The tour is designed to introduce you to the natural and cultural landscapes of this remarkable region. Enjoy a traditional Aussie breakfast before joining your guide who will explain the natural history of the region, and as the daylight reveals the myriad of animal tracks in the sand an insight into what activity took place during the night. Join a guided tour at the base of Uluru, stopping at Kuniya and the Mutitjulu waterhole. Hear about the rock paintings and stories from the creation period as told by the Anangu people before traveling to the Cultural Centre, a vibrant and engaging place of learning where the local lore of the Anangu is explained in detail. Return to the resort for a relaxing day where you join some of the complimentary activities.

Join an unforgettable evening eating beautifully prepared food under the sparkling outback sky. Your night begins with canapes and chilled sparkling wine upon a dune top overlooking the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. As the sun sets and darkness falls, listen to the sound of a didgeridoo and join your table of fellow travelers for an unforgettable dining experience. Enjoy a selection of Australian wine and beer while the first course is served at your table. As the night sky twinkles to life, you will be welcomed to an interactive chef’s station where you will be served your choice from a freshly prepared, bush tucker inspired menu incorporating native bush ingredients. Settle back and listen to the resident star talker decode the southern night sky. Locate the Southern Cross, the signs of the zodiac, the Milky Way, as well as planets and galaxies that are visible due to the exceptional clarity of the atmosphere.

The walk may take up to 3 hours and is rocky and steep in parts. It is for those with a good level of fitness. Alternatively, you may wish to take an easier, shorter walk to explore the boulder strewn canyon floor with the driver/guide. Return to the resort
